Do I need a GP's referral? You do not need a GP's referral to see us. However, if you have been referred by your GP and have a Chronic Disease Managagement Plan, please bring your referral with you to your first appointment.

What should I wear?We need access to the painful area for assessment and treatment purposes. Therefore, shorts and sports bra (for women) would be ideal. You would likely be asked to do exercises so runners are recommended. If you do not have the appropriate attire, no stress. We can always work around it. You DO NOT have to undress if you are not comfortable.

I have never been to a physio before. What to expect?During your initial appointment, we will take a detailed history, review any imaging that you may have had and then physically examine you. This may involve observing how you move, palpating (touching) painful area and performing special tests to reach a diagnosis. A management plan will then be discussed, including your goals, our recommendations, treatment options, prognosis, expected timeframe of recovery, etc.

What should I bring to my appointment? If you have been referred by your GP, please bring your referral with you. If you have any scans or letters that you think we'd like to know, please bring them along too. Better to be safe than sorry! Other than that, nothing except your willingness to get better!
